The Geothermal Paleoclimatology Platform, located 5 km from the town of Evora (3), is the only one in the Iberian Peninsula and is part of a network of observatories that aim to evaluate the climate in the past using temperature data obtained in boreholes (geothermal-paleoclimatology) and study energy transfer processes occurring at the interface between the ground and the atmosphere (air- ground coupling).
