Objectives


The purpose of the meeting is to disseminate and discuss “state-of-the art” research in Geosciences, promoting the fusion of knowledge and methodologies. It is also the interest of the meeting to encourage young researches to develop their ideas and project in the University of Évora. Here they can find a dynamic scientific environment as we hope the meeting will show.



Characterization


The structure of the event will be based on lectures, oral communications and posters. The communications will deal with topics of current research and will be presented mainly by graduate students and fellows involved in research projects, dissertations and doctoral programs. Senior researchers of University of Évora will give the lectures aiming a clear discussion of the research topics explored by the different geosciences groups of the University.



Target audience


The meeting is intended primarily for graduate students at the University of Évora. Even so, it is open to all academic community, including young pre-graduate students that want to know more about the research being conducted at the University in Geosciences. The meeting is also open to secondary school students that are directed tor appealing academic graduations in University of Évora. Finally, professionals wishing to learn important applications of Geosciences are also welcome.
